Garden phlox (Phlox paniculata) of the ‘Cosmopolitan' variety will enchant every gardener. The large fuchsia-pink-coloured inflorescences with darker centre spots are the most important feature of this cultivar. This universal and easy-to-grow perennial plant is perfectly suited for setting up colourful borders and garden compositions. It does not require any special kind of soil and will develop well in standard garden soil. Phlox does not require transplantation and may grow at the same site for years. It develops dense, exceptionally attractive clumps that attract butterflies and bees. The "Cosmopolitan" variety that is offered here grows 80 - 90 cm tall. Its stems are densely covered with lanceolate leaves. Racemose inflorescences form atop the strong stalks. Single, circa 3-cm wide flowers start to develop at the base of the corymb in July already. The end of the flowering period falls in September. The variety that we present here dazzles with the intense flower colour and fragrance. This plant is perfectly suited for tall borders and planting alongside fences and walls. It will also look stunning in vicinity of gazebos and pergolas. The durable phlox blooms constitute ideal cut flowers.

Phlox develops best on sunny and partially shady sites. It prefers permeable, rather loose and fertile soils. This resistant, weatherproof plant does not require any special care measures. Removing of the wilted inflorescences stimulates the plant to develop new buds. High resistance to the powdery mildew also belongs to the advantages of this variety.
