The pink arum lily (Zantedeschia rehmannii) is an excellent zantedeschia variety whose spathe takes on a distinct pink colour. This original, unique plant grows up to 40 cm tall, of which 15 cm is the cup-shaped, slender inflorescence. Long, broad, lanceolate and petiole-less leaves of the pink calla, that are often covered with white freckles, constitute yet another ornamental feature of this plant. They are erect and surround the flowering stalks. The red calla lily, as this plant is also called, is a charming perennial intended for cultivation on borders, in greenhouses and in large bowls and planters. Due to its limited frost hardiness it should winter indoors in a cool room (optimal wintering temperature is 10-15°C).

Bulbs of the pink arum lily should be planted outside mid May the earliest. Choose a sunny site with a loosened, moist soil. We recommend to use expanded clay aggregate, gravel or any other material as a drainage layer in container cultivation. The pink arum lily will develop beautifully and bloom exuberantly in such conditions and its marvellous, pink flower cups could be adorned all summer long. Their high durability makes them a perfect material for cut flowers.
