Asiatic lilies of the "Purple Dream" variety are exceptionally beautiful plants. Their charming purple-pink flowers excrete a wonderful scent. The rather undemanding lilies belong to plants that thrive both in gardens and in larger planters. The flowering period of the "Purple Dream" lily falls in June and July. Its erect stalk is adorned with several flowers that are gathered in an airy cluster. Colour of the flowers is additionally accentuated by the bright green, shiny leaves that cover the stems. Bowl-shaped, uniquely coloured flowers look great in vases where they remain fresh for a long time.

Asiatic lilies do not require much gardening skills. These plants are easy to grow and can be successfully planted in every garden. These plants, resistant to diseases, pests, and low temperatures, constitute an excellent border and planter decoration. Their attractive colours and growth form win them more and more fans. Lilies prefer sunny sites and partial shade. Bulbs of Asiatic lilies are usually planted in autumn into a previously prepared permeable soil that is also rich in humus. Recommended average planting depth is between 12 to 15 centimetres. Keep plants 30 centimetres apart. Asiatic lilies develop well in soils with neutral reaction between pH 6.5 and 7.0. Use pots measuring at least 25 centimetres in diameter if you intend to grow lilies in containers. Place a drainage layer onto the bottom of pots to avoid excess water in the ground.

Taking care of Asiatic lilies requires removing of wilted flowers that might weaken the bulb, fertilizing and watering during drought periods. Presented plants winter well in the ground, what makes cultivation fairly easy. The "Purple Dream" variety develops well on one site for at least several years.
