Round-headed leek (Allium rotundum) is a bulbous perennial that develops numerous, decorative inflorescences that take on the typical shape for this species. Single, gutter-shaped leaves sprout from the bulbs. They are sually flat and narrow. Naked, erect, straight stems appear later. Round, spherical inflorescences develop atop of them at the end of spring. Each of those consists of several dozens of single, small, radially symmetrical flowers.
