The "Trogon" Asiatic lily belongs to varieties that dazzle with their oriental colours. The light, creamy-yellow perianth is speckled, while the petal tips are coral red. Flowers of the up to 70 centimetres tall "Trogon" variety immediately bring the setting sun to mind. Their warm colours combined with dark spots will delight lily collectors. This spectacular lily is recommended for growing in gardens, planters and for cut flower. Reliable flowering, resistance to low temperatures, and attracting butterflies constitute the most important features of the "Trogon" Asiatic lily.

While planning lily planting, take into account that lilies are not very attractive after the flowering period. Choose accompanying plants that will cover empty spots well. Yarrow, peony, day-lily, dropwort and paniculate phlox prove to be excellent companions for tiger lilies.

Asiatic lilies do not require much gardening skills. These plants are easy to grow and can be successfully planted in every garden. These plants, resistant to diseases, pests, and low temperatures, constitute an excellent border and planter decoration. Their attractive colours and growth form win them more and more fans. Lilies prefer sunny sites and partial shade. Asiatic lily bulbs should be planted in autumn. Bury them in the well prepared, humous and permeable soil. Recommended planting depth is 12 to 15 centimetres and the bulbs should be planted 30 centimetres apart. Asiatic lilies develop well in soils with neutral reaction between pH 6.5 and 7.0. Use pots measuring at least 25 centimetres in diameter if you intend to grow lilies in containers. Place a drainage layer onto the bottom of pots to avoid excess water in the ground. Taking care of Asiatic lilies requires removing of wilted flowers that might weaken the bulb, fertilizing and watering during drought periods.
