Basil seeds

There are seeds of basil, one of the most popular herbs of the Mediterranean kitchen, available in our store. We offer numerous different varieties that differ in habit, leaf colour and use. All basil seeds available in our offer are of the highest quality and show good germination capacity, since they come from renowned producers only. It guarantees successful cultivation, provided, of course, that proper growing conditions are maintained. You can also find basil in many herb seed mixes of different uses.

You are free to choose from many different basil varieties, such as the red-leaved „Dark Opal” basil, lemon basil, thai basil „Siam Queen”, „Piccolino” basil, vanilla-scented „Blue Spice” basil variety or greek basil „Minette”. Fresh basil leaves can be used in salads, sandwiches, with cottage cheese, other dishes and in picled cucumbers. Dried are a commonly used seasoning. We particularly recommend one of the latest varieties – lettuce leaf basil producing large, very aromatic leaves. It can be grown at home, on a balcony or in the garden. Maybe the vanilla-scented basil would arouse your interest? It will do a great job adorning your windowsill, balcony of flower bed, too.

Together with its gustatory value, basil also presents medicinal assets. Infusion made of its leaves mildens cough and helps healing urinary tract inflammations. Fresh and dried leaves improve digestion process. If you care for ecology, choose certified organic seeds that have been grown without use of artificial fertilisers and chemical control agents.
