Bells of Ireland is an annual plant that grows 50 to 60 centimetres in height; it produces beautiful bell-shaped green flowers that grow inside its leaves. Bells of Ireland, which is a true decorative variety, is widely used in dried bouquets, flower arrangements and flower beds. For bouquets, cut and dry the flowers after they have stopped flowering.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover or directly into the soil from March to April. The seeds germinate in 10 to 14 days at 18°C. Grow the plants in 30x30cm spacings in fairly moist soils in sunny positions.
