Fresh bittercress leaves automatically bring spring and Easter to our minds, although we can grow them all year long and enjoy their excellent, savoury taste every day. Bittercress is a source of numerous valuable vitamins, such as C, B1, B2 and K, and minerals - calcium, iron and magnesium. It complements boiled potatoes, cottage cheese and meat-and-egg sandwiches very well. Bittercress harmonises with fresh veggies, too.
Bittercress cultivation does not present any problems. It may take place at home, in a container lined with cellulose tissue or on a vegetable bed. Plants prefer partially shady sites and fertile, moderately moist soils. Leaves are harvested continuously, as the need arises.
BIO bittercress seeds come from certified organic farms and therefore are completely free of chemical control agents, what makes them particularly healthy.
