BIO bush cucumber "Dar" - certified organic seeds of Cucumis sativus - is an unique, dwarf variety that is intended for field cultivation. Since the plants take on bushy habit, they can be cared for easily. Small, regularly shaped fruit with bright green, delicately striped, smooth skin and excellent, juicy flesh are harvested in the middle of summer. You may assign these both to direct, fresh consumption to make use of their deacidifying effects, and for preserves - marinades and pickles.
This proposed variety can be successfully grown from direct sow to the ground in late spring. Bush cucumber "Dar" needs access to sunlight and humous, moist, yet not too heavy, nor waterlogging soil, that should have neutral reaction. Small, cylindrical, valuable fruit can be harvested starting end of June until end of July.
The BIO seeds available in our store come from organic seed farms that produce their seed material according to EU regulations. Parent plants from which the seeds are collected are cultivated in an environment-friendly manner, without the use of chemical control agents, nor artificial fertilizers. The seeds are also 100% GMO-free. Packaging of the seeds has also been manufactured with nature in mind - packaging material comes from PEFC-certified forests.
