BIO arugula sprouts have an intriguing, slightly savoury, nutty flavour. Arugula (rocket) sprouts will enhance the taste of sandwiches and salads, but go well with meat and fish, too. We recommend to sprinkle them over a dish right before serving it, because fresh, raw sprouts are crunchy and have high nutritional value. They are a rich source of vitamin C, B vitamins and minerals. Regular consumption of flax sprouts improves assimilation of iron. Seed quality plays major role in growing sprouts and that is why we offer certified organic seeds free from chemical agents in our store.
You may grow rocket sprouts at home all year long. You would only need a jar covered with gauze or a sprouter. Growing sprouts is easy. In order for them to develop properly, place the container in a warm and bright place. You have to remember to rinse the culture with water twice a day. Seeds would germinate evenly, if you would have soaked them in water for a few hours before placing in the jar. Arugula sprouts should be harvest-ripe within 5 to 7 days.
