Borage is an annual plant that grows 50 to 60 centimetres in height. The edible portion of this variety are its green leaves; chopped, they can be added to salads, cucumbers, cabbage, and to meat and fish dishes. Additionally, Borage is recognised as a medicinal plant. With diuretic qualities, it also has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil in rows in 30cm spacings. When the plants have matured, harvest their green leaves for seasoning and medicinal purposes.
