Carrot "Askona F1" (Daucus carota), a late, smooth variety whose roots do not break, belongs to the most productive heterotic carrot hybrids. Carrot cultivars marked with F1 symbol guarantee rich harvest of highest quality roots that are large, crunchy, juicy and resistant to breaking. "Askona F1" does not accumulate nitrates. It produces 18-20 cm long, conical, smooth, dark orange roots with evenly coloured, very sweet and tasty flesh. This "Berlicum"-type carrot that contains beta-carotene and other vitamins is fitted for direct, raw consumption, but we recommend it for homemade preserves, particularly sweet purees and juices for children.
In order to enjoy uniform crops, sow "Askona F1" carrot seeds to thoroughly loosened borders in early and late spring. Roots will take on desired length and harmonious shape in light, permeable and aerated soil, but it should also retain water and be rich in organic matter. This carrot is harvested from August until September.
Each package contains 5 g of "Askona F1" carrot seeds. A growing guide and the sow-by date have been included in the package information.
