"Senior F1" carrot (Daucus carota) is a medium early, Flakkese-type variety. It shows high productivity and the crops it bears are of high quality. Large roots grow 18 - 20 cm long and up to 5.5 cm in diameter. They are evenly, brightly orange-coloured. "Senior F1" roots are crunchy, juicy and delicious. They stand out with high carotene and sugar content. These features make it perfect for direct, raw consumption in salads, pressed to juice, but also for steaming, boiling and baking.
Carrot has low requirements in regard to temperature, hence it can be sown already in early spring. Carrot seeds need to be sown directly to the field in rows 30 cm apart, preferably on a sunny border. Large roots can be harvested from July to October. You will get the best crops growing carrots in sandy-clay, permeable soils that re rich in nutrients, humus and water.
