The Cinderella swamp milkweed is a plant that develops regular, tall tufts. Its thick and erect stems grow between 90 and 120 centimetres. They branch in the upper parts and add to the volume of the plant. The erect stems are densely covered with narrow, pointed leaves. From July to September, pink-red flowers appear atop the stems. These tiny, intriguing flowers form convex panicles. The petals point down and form a base for a stamen that is bound with the anthers. An additional feature of the inflorescence is the beautiful vanilla scent. The plant produces elongated small fruit after the flowers wilt. As they break, seeds with fluffy hairs fall out. Swamp milkweed is an ideal plant for creating natural groupings and flowering divider walls. You can cut flowers and make them into bouquets. Collect stems with fruit for dried arrangements.

Cinderella belongs to plants that fit onto sunny borders. It is quite tolerant to various humidity levels - it likes areas near and by a pond or a stream, but it will also thrive at drier spots. Even loamy or average soil should not hamper its growth. If you want to provide the plant with optimal conditions. the soil should be humous and fertile.
