Cucumber "Hela F1" (Cucumis sativus) produces fruit medium early. The crops are abundant and of high quality. The fruit take on regular, elongated shape and do not overgrow. Their peel is vividly green with paler smudges that, however, are sometimes barely visible. Its smooth surface is covered with few, medium large warts. This variety has been bred the way that has eliminated bitterness. "Hela F1" cucumber is fitted both for preserving and pickling. Its fruit do not lose their nice shape nor colour in the process and will not turn yellow.
Cucumber is a demanding vegetable that needs a sunny and warm site with enough water and nutrients. Cucumber seeds are sown in spring directly to the ground, or indoors, to prepare seedlings. Start the culture in the field no earlier than mid-May. Cucumber "Hela F1" grows best in soils that quickly warm up in spring, are well cultivated and rich in humus.
