Cucumber "Ibis F1" (Cucumis sativus) is an early variety with high tolerance to fungal cucumber diseases and therefore it is recommended for integrated cultures. This is the first Polish variety that withstands low temperatures at the emergence and early development stages, what eliminates the need to cover the culture with aggrotextiles. It yields rich harvest of regularly shaped and sized fruit with a small core. They are crunchy, free of bitter taste and do not overgrow. They are fitted for pickling and marinating.

Cucumber belongs to low-calorie vegetables with water constituting over 97% of its mass, while the rest consists of protein, fats, sugars, vitamins C, B1, B2, E and A, as well as minerals of which kalium plays the most important role. The peel contains the largest amounts of these substances, hence it is recommended to eat cucumbers whole, without peeling them. High basic minerals’ content cause deacidifying effects of the cucumber. This vegetable will also help you to remove the excess water from your body and detoxifies it. Cucumber also contains numerous anti-cancer agents - flavonoids, lutein and caffeic acid.

Seeds of the "Ibis F1" cucumber are sown onto the field in the second half of May in 80-100 x 10-15 cm spacings. You should harvest the fruit gradually as they ripen from July to September. Cucumber should grow in humous soil with high water capacity and neutral reaction. It yields rich crops on sites enriched with manure or compost.
