Endive is a very unique plant which is often confused with cabbage and served along with this vegetable. This variety produces heads of irregular leaves that are commonly used as an addition to various dishes. Endive is an early plant, which is a rich source of vitamins A and B, and minerals. Growing: sow the seeds in containers all-year-round or directly into the soil in the vegetative phase; sow the seeds half a centimetre deep into the soil in the spacings of several centimetres. Harvest the first leaves when they have grown 8 to 10 centimetres in height or in 3 to 4 weeks. The leaves regrow rapidly, therefore you can harvest them 2 to 3 times from each sowing.
