Garden phlox (Phlox) "Orange Perfection" is a perennial plant that enchants with large flowers in a fiery, energizing colour. The variety offered here develops large tufts consisting of stiff, erect stems that end with tightly packed clusters of orange flowers. This long-lived and undemanding plant is valued for its fragrant blooms. Phloxes sprout stiff, 80 - 100 cm tall stalks covered with elliptic, lanceolate leaves. Blooms of the "Orange Perfection" variety appear from June to September. The single flat flowers are gathered in dense racemose corymbs. Phloxes are perfectly suited for tall borders and composition backgrounds. An abundant phlox clump may constitute a central point of a flower bed arrangement or even a feature. The beauty of phlox blooms wonderfully underscores naturalistic and rustic garden styles. This plant may also be grown in larger containers. Plants gain the maximal ornamental value grown in groups of 3 to 10 specimens. Phloxes harmonise with many other garden perennials. Combining them with catchflies and campions, flax, bee balm (Monarda) or showy stonecrop will bring spectacular results. Phlox blooms may be used for aromatic, colourful bouquets.

The "Orange Perfection" phlox presented here is rather undemanding. It will grow well in permeable, nutrient-rich and sufficiently moist soil. It refers sunny or partially shady sites (for a few hours a day only). Phloxes handle periodic droughts well and are fully frost-resistant. Plant phlox rhizomes directly to the ground in spring or autumn. Recommended distances between seedlings - 40 - 50 cm.
