The "Baby Doll" bergenia (Bergenia cordifolia) belongs to the most beautiful varieties of this species. The perennial offered here in our online store develops relatively large, bell-shaped, light pink flowers gathered in semi-spherical clusters that sit atop thick, naked, reddish stalks. The smooth, entire, fleshy, slightly cordate (heart-shaped), green, red-rimmed leaves that form a large, compact rosette, also present high ornamental value. The up to 60 cm tall, compact, charming "Baby Doll" bergenia blooms late in spring, from April to May. It is definitely worth having it in the garden, as it spans a bridge between spring and summer flowering perennials. It belongs to a small group of abundantly blooming, shade-loving plants.

Rhizomes of the "Baby Doll" bergenia should be planted in spring on a partially shady or sunny site that needs to be sufficiently moist. The perennial offered in our market thrives on waterlogged soil. Since it adapts well to almost all conditions, it may even grown on drier locations, provided it would be watered abundantly. Its subtle, pastel-coloured flowers will bring life to a pond, a secluded shady relaxation spot or a border. They look particularly adorable with astilbes, hostas and fens.

One package contains 1 large, healthy first choice rhizome. Plant growing instructions were included in the package information.
