Olimp iceberg lettuce is an early variety intended for spring culture in the field and under unheated covers. The heads are harvest-ready in 55 - 60 days after transplanting seedlings to the permanent site. "Olimp" lettuce develops round, large heads that may weigh 600 - 800 g. Pale green, slightly yellow leaves are large and form medium compact heads. Their edges are visibly dentate and slightly wavy. Lettuce "Olimp" looks extremely appetizing, as its leaves are shiny and wrinkled. They are also crunchy and delicious.
Iceberg lettuce grows best on humous, clay-sandy soils with high water capacity. The last characteristics is crucial, as water shortages impair the quality and volume of the crops. Presented seeds have been treated, what protects them from the pathogens and guarantees even emergence. Seeds of the "Olimp" iceberg lettuce should be sown in early spring, no later than mid-March. We recommend to sow gradually in batches, what allows you to enjoy crunchy heads for a longer time. They will be harvest ready from May to June.
