Lavender ‘Hidcote’ is a perennial plant that grows 35 to 40 centimetres in height. It produces lovely violet-purple flowers and highly aromatic spikes that grow 3 to 4 centimetres in length. Lavender ‘Hidcote’ flowers from June to August and is recommended to be grown in flower beds, perennial flower compositions, low hedges, on terraces or on balconies.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover or in a seedbed in the spring. The seeds germinate in two to three weeks at 18-20°C. Plant out into a permanent position in 30x40cm spacings in late summer. This variety prefers light calcareous soils that have been drained well; it loves sunny positions.
