Radish "Krasa" (Raphanus sativus), producing round, carmine-red roots, is an early variety that rapidly develops roots, that may be harvested after 30 - 34 days after cultivation start. It is perfectly fitted for field and under cover cultivation, both in the spring and in autumn. This highly productive variety develops roots very easily. Harvested crops are evenly sized and stand out with their quality. "Krasa" variety produces nice, regularly shaped, carmine-red, round roots. They grow quite large and reach 2.5 - 3 cm in length on average. Thin and smooth skin shelters white, glassy flesh that does not get pithy. Radishes do not only look good, but also taste great. They are crunchy and delicate in taste. Fresh radish add great flavour to sandwiches, salads and cottage cheese.
Radish prefers sunny and well-lit places with permeable soils that are rich in nutrients. It should be grown in the second year after manure fertilisation. Seeds of the "Krasa" radish are sown in early spring directly onto the field in rows 10-20 cm apart. It is advised to repeat sowing in the whole vegetation season every two weeks, what allows to continuously harvest the gradually ripening roots for a long time.
