Red Sweet Pea is an annual climbing plant; it grows up to 120 centimetres in height and produces red flowers that are known for their lovely fragrance. This ornamental plant flowers from June to September. Red Sweet Pea is cultivated as a cut flower and frequently grown over fences, balconies, terraces and porches.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil in 15-20cm spacings from February to March. The plants require fertile deep-cultivated calcareous soils and sunny positions. They flower from June to September.
