The Regina alumroot is a spectacular perennial that forms dome-shaped tufts. Its large heart-shaped leaves that take on an unusual purple colour are decorated with a silvery coating and darker venation. The up to 40 centimetres tall pillow-like plants are built of densely arranged leaves that sit on long petioles. In high summer, slender shoots with tiny pink flowers appear over the foliage and further increase the decorative value of the plant. Alumroot belongs to perennials that are recommended for edgings, naturalistic plantings, compositions under trees, and creation of colourful accents in planters. It looks spectacular grown in larger groups or even as a covering plant. The growth form, shape, and colour of the Regina alumroot make a great figure together with roses, baby's-breath, and the even smaller houseleeks. The alumroot offered here is a great companion for box, hosta, and thuja.

Coral bells', as this plant is also called, requirements are rather limited. The optimal conditions for growing alumroot are guaranteed in a fresh, humous, highly permeable soil with high content of nutrients. Presented species grows very well in partial shade, in bright, yes dispersed light. It does not like scorching sun. Alumroot requires regular watering, particularly during rainless periods. Plants that grow on borders need to be fed a dose of compost in spring. Plants grown in planters must be fertilized regularly. It is recommended to cover alumroot plants during snowless winters, particularly those who grow next to woody roots that protrude over the ground. Alumroots are short-lived perennials that need to be revived every few years.

One package contains 10 pieces of the Regina alumroot seedlings of premium quality. Basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the product label.
