The Polianthes Super Gold/Strong Gold fragrant tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa) delights with the sweet scent of its flowers and the undeniable charm of its funnel-shaped, slender flowers that take on a classy, golden-yellow colour. The narrow flowers that consist of five broadly spreading petals are gathered in loose, long spikes. They sit atop erect stems that are surrounded with linear, sharp-tipped leaves. Presented variety grows 60 to 70 centimetres tall and can be grown in a tall pot or outside.

Tuberose bulbs need to be planted early in spring in planters into standard soil mixed with vermiculite or later directly onto borders. The soil must be constantly moist until the flowers wilt, and at the same time permeable and rich in humus. To let the offered variety develop numerous, beautiful flowers, provide the plant access to sunlight. Its slender stems that almost disappear under the flowers constitute great material for bouquets. The tuberose flowers from July to September. Therefore we recommend combining it with various lily varieties, particularly the dwarf ones, as well as effect phlox and tufty daylilies.
