"Cencara F1" tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) is a variety that produces fruit medium early. Resistance to the early tomato blight belongs to the most important characteristics of this variety. It is intended for cultivation in a greenhouse or plastic foil tunnel, although it may also be grown in the field. Strongly growing, tall variety needs supports. It produces cylindrical, slightly elongated fruit that take on bright red colour and do not have greenback. The fruit show extended durability and can be stored for a long time. "Cencara F1" tomatoes are ideal for sauces, soups, pulps and other preserves.
Seeds of the "Cencara F1" tomato are sown in a warm room from February to March. Soil with decreased calcium content or special germination substrate would be best for that purpose. The ready seedlings should be transplanted to the permanent site from April to May in 50 x 50 cm spacings. The first fruit become harvest-ready in July and would be harvested until end of October. Regular fertilization with calcium-rich substrates and watering are essential in successful tomato cultures.
