The Robinsoniana wood anemone is a beautiful tuberous perennial that grows about 20 centimetres tall. The rare, highly valued anemone produces subtly coloured flowers. It is easy to grow and wonderfully accompanies other garden plants. Anemone flowers in spring, from April to June. Magnificent, lavender-purple, single flowers sit on relatively long stalks. Yellow fluffy centres add to their charm. Decorative, dentate anemone leaves form spectacular green carpets. Anemone belongs to effective bedding plants when grown in appropriate conditions, particularly in semi-shade, e.g. under trees. Anemones look best in larger groups, as they would attract attention with a sea of pastel-coloured flowers during the flowering period. Wood anemone perfectly fits into a rock garden, natural or woodland garden. We recommend combining anemone tufts with early bulb flowers, such as tulip or grape hyacinth. Lungwort, liverleaf, winter aconite, and ferns also offer great company for wood anemones. This winter hardy plant can grow at the same site for years to come.

When planning anemone growing, do not forget that this species dies off after flowering. That is why we recommend placing them next to perennials that could nicely fill empty spots. Anemone belongs to undemanding plants. It loves moderately moist, humous, and permeable soil with a slightly acidic soil. Let the site dry in the summer to allow plants to rest after the exhausting flowering in spring. Wood anemone is poisonous. Always wear gloves when handling the plant.

Each package contains one wood anemone seedling Robinsoniana. Basic plant facts and growing tips can be found on package label.
