The Rosebud begonia is a plant with a truly luxurious appearance. Its large, bicolour flowers match roses in terms of their beauty. White and pink flowers that consist of numerous petal layers captivate onlookers with their romantic flair. Dark green leaves with an asymmetric, pointed blade perfectly emphasize the picturesque colour of the flowers. Rosebud begonia blooms for a long time. Beautiful, full, wavy flowers begin to appear in May. Plants successively produce new buds until the first wave of cold in autumn. This delightful plant fits perfectly into containers and baskets. Begonia of this type can also grow on the edge of a flowerbed and lower border, as the expected height of the plant is 25 to 35 centimetres.

Start planting tubers of the delicate begonia in early spring in containers. Providing them with the right temperature and access to light, you have a chance to grow sturdy seedlings that you can transplant outside in the second half of May. Planting tubers is simple and quick. Place them in the ground, the concave side up, at a depth of five to eight centimetres. Treat the tubers with a suitable antifungal agent before planting. This helps protect tubers from diseases and give them a better start to germination. If you cannot, for example because of lack of space at home, plant tubers early, you can do it in the garden only after the last frost has passed. Begonia requires moderately fertile, permeable, humous soil. Diffused light, and a position sheltered from winds, is recommended for growing begonia. In the fall, when temperatures begin to drop, dig out begonia of the ground and outdoor containers. Transfer cleaned tubers to a cool, dry, and airy room, to store them in boxes filled with a mixture of deacidified peat and sand.

Each package contains two tubers of the begonia Rosebud. Basic plant facts and a quick growing guide were printed on the packaging label.
