The Little Missy daylily (Hemerocallis hybrida) is a compactly growing variety that is ideal for growing in pots. These plants take on a broad, dense habit that they owe to numerous long leaves. The stiff flowering stalks that may grow up to 45 cm tall emerge from the green tufts. Flowers of this particular variety do not belong to the giant ones yet delight with the nice purple colouring and the white ring around petal edges. The Little Missy daylily will become an intriguing ornament of the perennial borders, rock gardens and all arrangements on pond edges. It is also recommended for growing in containers that decorate balconies or terraces.

Daylilies are planted to the ground in spring or autumn, but not too late, so they get a chance to develop strong root system. These plants grow best on sunny sites, although they also tolerate partial shade. A moderately fertile soil would suit daylilies fine, but they would require a dab of compost as fertilizer and regular watering during draught periods. These plants prefer rich soils that retain humidity well. This variety winters in the ground.
