The Adele Duttweiler tulip belongs to low-growing varieties whose stems are crowned with marvellous flowers in shades of pink and red. The charm of those unusual blooms is emphasized by the purple-speckled leaves. A patch of land filled with Adele Duttweiler tulips constitutes an incredibly picturesque view that can rejuvenate garden paths or change plantings with perennials. Robust and resistant to weather conditions, this long-flowering tulip from the offered variety is perfect for planting on small flower beds and lawns, and decorating all kinds of borders and edgings. Due to its modest height, it looks simply amazing in pots and baskets. Low-growing tulips will also thrive in open areas, as they are not as threatened by strong wind gusts as tall varieties. Plant at least a dozen bulbs at one site to bring out all the charm of this species.

Tulips need a lot of sun to grow vigorously, so make sure that they remain in the shadow for no longer than a couple hours a day. Plant tulip bulbs in autumn in a well-prepared, fluffy soil enriched beforehand with compost or manure. Make sure that the soil is sufficiently permeable to prevent the bulbs from rotting. Make ten to twelve centimetres deep holes and keep similar distances when arranging the bulbs. Tulips planted in September and October will flower as planned in April.

Each package contains five bulbs of the Adele Duttweiler tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres in circumference. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
