The Topmix Pink dahlia is a sweet single-flowered variety that produces large number of blooms. Light pink petals are brightened up by golden centres that wonderfully accentuate the charm of the plants. A single inflorescence of the presented variety consists of eight to ten large broad petals that loosely surround the centre built of disc florets. Dahlias, universally loved by gardeners, constitute one of the most beautiful garden flowers. The long flowering period and the abundance of flowers prevent dahlias from going out of fashion. Charming flowers of the Topmix Pink variety can enchant flower bed forefront and path edgings. They look great in planters too. Dwarf dahlias, who grow 25 to 35 centimetres tall, to which the Topmix Pink belongs, like the company of its differently coloured relatives, but they would not be out of place in combination with other plants that have a fixed place on your flower bed or lawn. Their feathery leaves provide a great background for the brightly coloured flowers. The first buds unfold already in June but their high season comes in July and August. These dahlias reliably produce new flowers - the autumn frost might be the only obstacle that could stop them.

Dahlias should be planted on sunny situations that are also sheltered from the wind. Keep plants 20 to 50 centimetres apart. The bulbous rootstocks must be planted about 5 centimetres deep from April to June.  Dahlia thrives in a sandy-clay, fertile, and permeable soil. Dahlia requires watering during extended periods of drought. Its wilted flowers should be removed.  Dahlia reacts well to fertilization with manure, compost, and mineral fertilizers.

Dahlia tuberous rootstocks cannot winter in the field and must be excavated after the first frost. Trim the stem first and then gently excavate the rootstock. Place the rootstocks in ventilated boxes and store them in a dry room with a constant temperature between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius. Cover the roots with peat in order to ensure best possible storage conditions. If you detect loss of firmness or wrinkled surface on the rootstocks, you can moisten them slightly.

Each package contains 1 piece of premium quality rootstock of the Topmix Pink dahlia. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package.
