The Qatar tulip is an eye-catching plant. Stylish, double, frizzled flowers of this variety look as if made to be admired. The flowers that unfold from a squat green bud present a whole range of scarlet shades. Petal edges covered with tiny "needles" may reveal tones pink and white, although not always. The delightful contrast between brightly coloured flowers and vividly green leaves comes to light in April and May, as the buds gradually open. This tasteful, unusual tulip should appeal to every gardener who looks for unique flowers that are easy-to-grow. A bright stain of red, enclosed in the glamorous Quatar tulip form, enhances decorative value of garden compositions and designer bouquets.

Tulips belong to bulbous plants that you can easily grow in gardens and allotments. They are quite tolerant when it comes to soil and lighting. Only wet and dark places prevent their development. In order to enjoy success in tulip growing, find a sheltered place that warms up quickly. Central-european climate suits tulips very well. If you cover them with straw or spruce twigs before the winter, you can be sure that they will survive in an excellent condition and grow back quickly in spring.

Package contains 250 bulbs of the Qatar tulip, sized eleven to twelve centimetres (four-and-a-half to eleven inches) in circumference. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the packaging label.
