The Splendide Flamenca trailing begonia is a plant worth considering when arranging places of relaxation. The abundantly flowering plant that seems to gently flow over the edges of tall pots and hanging baskets can become the object of admiration and desire of many people. Seductive, multicolour, double flowers are set on subtly drooping shoots. The lush foliage consisting of dark green heart-shaped leaves adds chic to the plant. Begonias are famous for their long and generous flowering. The rose-like flowers begin to appear in early June. Throughout the season, the plant produces hundreds of buds, which, after opening, decorate the garden until the beginning of autumn.

Plant begonia tubers early in spring in not-too-deep planters. Early planting allows plants to flower in late spring or early summer. Always plant tubers the concave side up, rather shallow, so that there is only a two-centimetres thick layer soil above the top of the tuber. To grow healthy and sustainably, begonias require permeable, humous, slightly acidic soil. Apply a thick drainage layer in container cultivation. Throughout the season, begonias require fertilization and a continually moderately moist substrate.

Begonia is a plant that is not resistant to low temperatures. You must dig out tubers before the autumn frost. Clean them, put into a ventillated box or basket, and cover with sawdust or peat mixed with sand. Maintain stable storage temperature within the 7 to 10⁰C range. At the end of winter, you can plant the tubers again and enjoy beautiful plants next year.

Each package contains two tubers of the trailing begonia Splendide Flamenca. Basic plant facts and a quick growing guide were printed on the packaging label.
