The white-pink "Picotee White" begonia produces large, bicolour blooms. It delights with magnificent, double blooms that appear in large numbers from July until October. These exuberant flowers grow single or in a groups of a few, in the axils of fleshy leaves. Tender petals of this begonia variety are white. Their edges are adorned with a pink stripe. These plants grow well and develop dense, 25-40 cm tall tufts. The white-pink "Picotee White" begonia will definitely become a marvellous decoration of boxes and planters on a terrace, balcony or in a gazebo. You may, though, grow it on a garden border, too.
Begonia is an ideal plant for shady sites, as it simply does not like direct exposure to sunlight. It prefers humous, slightly acidic and properly drained soils. Begonias require regular watering, particularly during hot summer months. Plant the tubers to the borders in the second half of May, 5-8 cm deep, 15-20 cm apart. Planting pots indoors may take place in March already, but the containers could only be transferred outside after the last frosts have passed. This is a frost-sensitive plant that does not winter in the ground.
One package contains 2 pieces of premium quality tubers sized 6/7 cm.
