Dahlia TsukiYoriNo Shisha (Dahlia) is an exceptional variety whose flowers are filled with fancy, curled petals that are ragged at the tips. This is a tall variety that develops a compact, dense habit, whose erect stems grow 90 to 110 centimetres tall. Large flowers will definitely attract attention thanks to their pale, white colour, among other factors. They will adorn garden borders all summer long, from July way into October. They would look particularly beautiful planted in smaller groups, a few plants in each, in central parts of your garden arrangements.
Dahlia cultures start in spring with enriching the ground with compost or mineral fertilizer. Rhizomes are transplanted to the field at the end of April / beginning of May. The TsukiYoriNo Shisha dahlia will bloom long and abundantly planted on a sunny site. We recommend planting these tall plants on windsheltered sites. Fertile, humous, permeable soils that retains water would suit them best. Rhizomes need to be dug out before the winter and stored in a dark, cool place.
