The Mission Bay Siberian iris immediately brings cloudless summer sky to mind with its charming blue flowers adorned with a small yellow dot. This variety, loved by butterflies, develops erect tufts. The attractive foliage of irises is light green and consists of narrow, pointed, leaf blades. Tubular stalks that end with flowers appear among the tufts at the end of spring or beginning of summer. The construction of iris blooms is so characteristic that it cannot be confused with any other species. This unique variety that we offer in our store grows about 70 centimetres tall. It reaches the peak of its flowering period in May and June. Irises, attractive plants with decorative leaves and flowers, provide good, universal material for perennial borders arranged in natural and rustic style. Dense tufts of iris foliage look great in vicinity of streams, ponds, and pools. Siberian iris blooms can be used in bouquets yet they do not belong to most durable cut flowers.

Siberian iris flowers best on a sunny site or in partial shade. Plants of that species require a fertile, moist, and slightly acidic soil. We recommend planting Siberian irises in spring or early autumn. Place rhizomes horizontally under a thin layer of soil. Take care of the proper humidity, fertilization, and removing of wilted flowers during the vegetation period of those plants.

Indicated price is valid for 1 first choice rhizome of the presented variety of the Siberian iris. The bag with the rhizome is equipped with a label that contains basic plant facts and growing instructions.
