The orange-flowered Multiflora Maxima begonia is an instant eye-catcher. This plant, so full of elegant charm, allows you to create original compositions in bright, vivid colours. This generously flowering begonia can grow at the front of a flowerbed, border, or in a pot. It looks nice in hanging baskets and wonderfully decorates a wooden gazebo. You can place planters with begonias on a windowsill or at stairs leading to the house. These 25 to 40-centimetre tall plants have a tufted habit, that consists of narrow, heart-shaped, dentate leaves. These features make presented begonia a versatile plant that blends well with other varieties of its species as well as other plants. Tuberous begonias usually grow in gardens, but it is also possible to grow them at home as a flowering indoor plant.

Start planting begonia in early spring. This allows you to enjoy flowers already at the end of May. Place flattened tubers in the ground, the concave side up, and cover with a thin layer of soil. Place the containers in warm and bright rooms. Force begonias until mid-May. After the last frost, the plants are ready for the transfer outside to the target site. Begonia feels best in a humous, light, airy soil that does not waterlog. It is a wonderful plant for semi-shaded places and positions with diffused lighting. In summer, they require regular fertilization and watering. Begonias cannot winter in the ground or outside in pots. Dig up tubers in autumn and store in proper conditions to plant them again next year.

Each package contains two tubers of the multi-flower begonia Multiflora Maxima. Basic plant facts and a quick growing guide were printed on the packaging label.
