Cucumber ‘Octopus’ is a fertile medium-early hybrid variety that produces nicely shaped brilliant to dark green fruit with several thick warts. Recommended to be cultivated in the soil, Cucumber ‘Octopus’ is immune to several diseases, among which are cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew and downy mildew. This variety is suitable for pickling and preserving.
Growing: sow the seeds in rows in 80-100cm spacings in May. In each row, sow individually or every 2 to 3 seeds in 15cm spacings. The plants require warm moist permeable soils that are heavily fertilised.
