The Robert Swanson lily (Lilium) is a border giant: this majestic perennial grows up to 200 cm tall and wears a grown consisting of several XXL-sized cup shaped blooms atop its stem. The flowers of the proposed variety attract attention with the contrasting, red-yellow colour. The Robert Swanson lily belongs to the orienpet group. These are hybrids of the trumpet and oriental lilies. It has inherited its exotic beauty and ornamental value from the capricious oriental lilies and the higher resistance to Central European climate and lesser cultivation requirements from the other group. The cultivar offered in our store blooms in July and August and thrives in humous soils on sunny and partially shady sites.

The bulbs of the OT Robert Swanson lily can be planted in spring or in autumn. In order to achieve the best visual results we recommend to grow it in groups of at least 3 plants. You may combine it with the other tall tree lilies, such as the red-white Robert Griesbach and the crimson-red and orange Red Morning.
