This exceptional Darwin hybrid tulip called 'Light And Dreamy', delights with its bright colours. The light, almost airy combination of pink and lavender blue is truly romantic, particularly when you see the colours fading towards the edges of the petals. It looks magical, as it changes its colouring during the flowering period. The charming 'Light And Dreamy' tulip will not let boredom rule the garden in April. Its light, large flowers that are supported by strong stalks enclosed in 2 to 3 broad leaves perfectly fit onto flower beds, into pots and vases as a cut flower. What more could you expect from a spring tulip? The 'Light And Dreamy' tulip will make come true your dreams of a sweet, luminescent tulip that will enchant your garden.

Tulips do not have any special cultivation requirements. This plant does not absorb much of your attention. You only need to learn their site requirements in order to enjoy magnificent flowers. Tulips grow best in medium heavy to light soils. A sandy-loam soil needs to be permeable, rich in nutrients and organic matter. We recommend to avoid waterlogging, acidic, heavy and too dry soil. Tulips prefer sunny situations, but several hours per day in the shade will not do them any harm. The site for planting tulip bulbs should be prepared earlier. Verticulate and weed the soil, as well as remove all the larger stones from it. The admixture of ground compost proves to bring the plant substantial benefits and gives them a head start. You may also add a little sand to the soil in order to make it lighter. You do not have to excavate tulip bulbs every year, but doing so every 3 to 4 years strengthens plants. It also allows you to propagate tulips with offsets. The plants tolerate European winters and can remain on the same site for several years.

Tulip bulbs need to be planted in autumn. September and October are considered the best months for executing this task. The optimal planting depth equals twice the height of a bulb. The spacings depend on the visual effect that you want to achieve. Take 15-20 x 15-20 cm as an average.

One package contains 50 bulbs of the 'Light And Dreamy' tulip sized 11/12 cm. The basic plant facts and a growing guide were printed on the packaging label.
