Canna, sometimes also called canna lily, "Angel Martin" (Canna) is an exceptional variety that is intended for cultivation in containers. These plants grow 60-90 cm tall and may be used as balcony or terrace decoration. This presented variety delights with large, pink-orange flowers. The large leaves take on a dark green colour with a visible crimson shade at the underside. Canna is the perfect plant for sunny borders, where it looks particularly well in groups of a few plants grown on a lawn or in the central part of an arrangement.

Canna rhizomes are planted to the ground at the end of April and beginning of May. Choose warm and sunny, preferably wind sheltered sites. These plants grow quickly and abundantly, so we recommend to enrich the soil with manure or compost before planting. Canna lilies prefer fertile, light and constantly moist soils. This species does not winter in the ground in Central European climate conditions. You should excavate canna rhizomes after the first frosts, place them in moist peat and store over the spring in a cool room.
