The Martinette narcissus is an early spring bulb plant. It starts to bloom already in March and April. Its cheerful colour will bring joy and contrast with the nature that wakes up to life after the winter's sleep. Narrow, lanceolate leaves shoot from the bulbs and surround a stem that ends with 3 to 5 flowers. The petals of this adorable variety are bright yellow. The corollula in the centre shines with a magnificent orange colour. The numerous blooms produce a magnificent scent that gets more intense in the afternoon. The small narcissi that bathe in the sunlight constitute the staple part of waking up in the spring. The variety presented here is simply indispensable for plantings on the front of the flower beds, rock gardens and path corners. These medium tall, 35 to 40 cm, plants perfectly fit into containers. too. The baskets and bowls with the sunny narcissi tremendously adorn the porches, balconies, terraces and gazebos.

The cultivation of the daffodils is not difficult, as these plants are rather undemanding. They prefer sunny and partially shady sites and a permeable, fertile soil that remains moist during the growth and blooming stages. You can plant narcissi bulbs from the beginning of autumn onwards, almost until winter. Please consider the time needed by the plants to take root. The planting depth should not exceed 10 to 15 cm. Plant the bulbs 12 to 15 cm apart. You may cover the planted bulbs with a thin layer of mulch, but it is not considered necessary. Feed the plants with compost in spring in order to stimulate flower production. Give them a dose of liquid fertilizer after the blooming period has ended. It will strengthen the bulbs and guarantee abundant blooming in the following season.

The price quoted here is valid for 5 bulbs of the Martinette daffodil, sized 12 to 14 cm in circumference.
