French Lavender, sometimes called Spanish Lavender, is a perennial plant that grows 50 to 60 centimetres in height. It produces upright shoots that grow very unique pink to purple flowers with deep purple bracts. French Lavender is an indispensable perennial for flower beds, dried bouquets, flower arrangements and for a cut flower.
Growing: prior to sowing, put the packet with seeds into a freezer for two to four weeks. Sow the seeds in covered planter boxes or in pallet planters from April to May. The seeds germinate in 14 to 21 days at 16-20°C. Plant out into a permanent position in 30-40cm spacings from July to August. Protect it from frost during the winter. This variety grows best in medium fertile permeable soils in sunny positions.
