The Tubergen's Variety botanical tulip will delight not only the hardcore tulip lovers - this exceptional variety blooms abundantly and develops multiple blooms on one stalk! They consist of tear-shaped, modestly unfolding petals and take on an intense, carmine red coloured with orange accents. They develop all April long over the stiff, rather broad, lanceolate leaves. The variety offered here grows 20 to 30 cm and looks particularly well in compact tufts scattered over the lawn or gathered at the front of a border.
The botanical tulips should be planted in autumn, from September to October, into the loamy, fertile and at the same time permeable soil. The bulbs should be planted 6 cm apart and circa 6 cm deep. The Tubergen's Variety tulips will produce the most numerous and most vividly coloured blooms on a sunny site. It can stay on one situation for a long time, because it displays the exceptional resistance to frost.
One package contains 250 bulbs sized 8/9 cm in circumference. The bulbs offered here in our store were bred in Holland.
