The snow-white My Love cactus dahlia wonderfully contrasts with the green leaves. Its double flowers that consist of rolled needle-shaped petals shine with a clean fresh colour that shows a hint of lime green at petal base. A 70 to 100 centimetres tall dahlia is an all-purpose plant that can be used in many arrangements. It looks great planted on borders and in groupings on lawns. Lush tufts of white dahlias are elegant and look great in a modern designed garden. The proudly erect stems carrying spiky flowers are perfectly suited for cut flowers that can be arranged into bouquets and other compositions.

The My Love dahlia grows best when it has unrestricted access to sunlight and warmth. Tuberous dahlia roots should be planted in the garden from mid May to June. The most beautiful plants develop in a permeable, fertile soil that has a neutral reaction. Enriching the soil with compost or some other organic fertilizer before planting is considered a good practice. Place the seedlings (rootstock) in shallow holes and cover them with a thin layer of soil, about a couple of inches thick. Regular watering and fertilizing allows you to grow healthy plants with a long flowering period.

Presented plant does not winter in the ground. Its rootstock must be excavated in autumn after the first frost. Rootstock with trimmed shoots are than stored in dry and cool rooms and then planted again in spring in garden or in planters.
