The Honka Pink dahlia is yet another representative of the unique plant line. This time, growers decided to present a pink flower. Its narrow, pointed petals that spread from a yellow centre, give the plant a charming and unforgettable appearance. Tufts of the Honka Pink dahlia grow 60 to 70 centimetres tall. Their flowers adorn the stems from June to September, or even longer in warm favourable weather. This blooming rarity presents all its assets on flower beds, lawns, and borders. The medium size of the plant allows you to fit into compositions in planters and pots. The richly blooming plant wonderfully adorns every space where it appears. Its flowers can be used to compose durable bouquets, arrangements, and decorations (wreaths, etc.).
Dahlia does not belong to demanding plants but you should meet some requirements to let it enchant you with its looks. The appropriate access to sunlight is crucial for the healthy growth and saturated colouring of dahlia flowers. Due to the frail stems we recommend planting dahlia on sheltered situations. Staking might still be necessary. Dahlia requires neutral or slightly acidic soil that is rich in nutrients, permeable, and constantly moist. Rootstock of tall and broadly spreading varieties should be planted 50 to 60 centimetres apart. Plant the tuberous rootstock 5 to 10 centimetres deep, between April and July. It is highly recommended to wait with the planting until mid-May to avoid late frost. All dahlias should be watered during periods of extended drought. Their wilted flowers should be immediately topped. Dahlia reacts well to fertilization with manure, compost, and mineral fertilizers.
Each package contains 1 piece of first choice rootstock of the Honka Pink dahlia. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package.
