A self assemble nest box is a product that will give plenty of satisfaction to nature lovers. It is also a great educational gift for children and adults. Their own efforts put into construction this birdhouse will turn out to be fun and surprising time. Putting together this nest box is easy and does not require any specialist tools. A screwdriver or electric driver will do the trick. A nest box located in the garden, possibly in a place that can be seen from inside through a window will bring you many cheerful moments during observing its inhabitants. Birds invited to your vicinity catch many pest insects, including nagging mosquitoes.

This birdhouse will be delivered to you in several components that need to be assembled. All of them have been made of solid 2-cm thick, raw wood planks. Size and the model of this nest box are dedicated to small birds, such as great tits, tree sparrows, crested tits, common redstarts, European pied flycatchers, sparrows and other similar cavity nesters.

Presented nest box should be mounted before the hatching period, between end of February and mid-March. Choose a site with at least several older trees. The birdhouse needs to be mounted stably so it does not get rocked by a strong wind. It must be inaccessible for pets, particularly cats. 4 metres is a safe height that also allows you to rich the box on a ladder. A rain sheltered spot that is not exposed to sunlight would be optimal. Entry hole should face the East or South East. We recommend to take off the birdhouse after the hatching period and clean it thoroughly, so it can serve new inhabitants next year. In order to attract birds to your garden, we recommend to plant some shrubs that would supply them with food, such as dogwood, sea buckthorn and barberry.
