The Cascavel miniature lily is the perfect decoration of pots and containers. Short and stiff stems that carry large, cup-shaped, red flowers can adorn a balcony or a table on a terrace in summer. Dark green leaves and red flowers make a very elegant combination. This lily is simply perfect for adding a bright, radiant note to your surroundings. This rather low growing plant, whose height does not exceed 50 centimetres, can also decorate lower flower beds, borders, or lawn edges.

This lily can also grow all year long at home, as pot plant. If you want to treat them as house plants, plant the bulbs in early spring, starting mid-March already. Wait about a month with planting on the balcony, do not start the operation before the second half of April. Choose a large, deep container for lily cultivation and do not forget to apply a drainage layer. Standard garden or balcony plant soil will suit the needs of these plants. Keep planted bulbs at a temperature around 15°C, and bring into room temperature after three to four weeks. After that moment, you are only two months away from enjoying splendid plants. They require regular watering and fertilizing. Dig out the bulbs in autumn and store them in a cool, dark, and dry place until next spring.
