The dark pink calla is a plant that dazzles with its unique flowers. This plant, also known under the scientific name of Zantedeschia or arum lily, produces numerous sheath-shaped flowers that take on a deep dark pink colour. Their elegant, slender line, underscored by the erect foliage, immediately attracts attention. Spring, from end of April throughout May, is the optimal calla planting time. Plant rather shallow. Calla requires watering and regular fertilization until in full bloom. It reacts well to multi-component mineral fertilizer that you can apply three weeks after planting of the bulbs. You must protect calla from low temperatures. Dig out the bulbs grown on borders at the end of September and transfer them to a cool, dry room.
