The Striped Crown remains a mystery. This variety encompasses specimens whose deep burgundy petals sport irregular white spots, as well as those coloured white proudly presenting a crimson red pattern of stripes and spots. In addition to all that beauty, flower cups of the offered tulip consist of decorative, twisted and wavy petals. Such a unique variety is hard to find in garden stores.
The unique Striped Crown tulip measures forty five to fifty centimetres in height and takes on a slender, erect growth form. Its elegant, unique flowers develop at the turn of April and May surrounded by vertical, large leaves. That bright juicy green foliage beautifully highlights the saturated shade of flowers. Flowers adorned with an intricate pattern, unique for each plant, can become the main asset of a tulip bed or enrich a multi-species composition on a lawn. Medium-tall tulips that flower at the peak of the tulip season provide excellent cut flowers for fresh bouquets. We recommend planting the bulbs of the proposed variety in late autumn, twelve centimetres apart. Choose a sunny or slightly shaded position, with moist and humus-rich but permeable soil.
Package contains 250 bulbs of the Striped Crown tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres. Essential growing guidelines were printed on the package.
